Sakarya University Faculty of Political Sciences Department of Islamic Economics and Finance is the first undergraduate department established in this field among state universities.
Career and Employment Opportunities of the Department
With the education received in the Islamic Economics and Finance undergraduate program, it is aimed at improving current participation finance practices and contributing to the human resources needed by the market and policymakers. In particular, it is aimed at ensuring that a significant portion of the personnel employed by participation banks, which are the main practitioners of Islamic finance in our country, will be graduates of this program.
In addition, students who graduate from our department can take the public exams that graduates of the Faculty of Political Sciences can take and work as experts / assistant experts in the relevant institutions.

Opportunity to Develop Foreign Language in Optional Preparatory Program
Students who are enrolled in our Department of Islamic Economics and Finance have the opportunity to receive optional preparatory education in English and Arabic within our University if they wish.
Double-major Opportunities
Our students studying in the Department of Islamic Economics and Finance have the opportunity to double major in Finance, Economics, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations and Econometrics from the departments of the Faculty of Political Sciences; Business Administration, International Trade and Finance and Management Information Systems from the departments of the Faculty of Business Administration; and additionally in the Department of Theology at the Faculty of Theology. Double major adjustment processes have been completed with the relevant departments.
